Types of team-building activities

Different activities are used depending on what the team needs to improve.

● Icebreakers and social activities: On the first day of internship, students play “introduce your partner,” where each student interviews another and then introduces them to the group, reducing shyness and creating comfort.

● Problem-solving challenges: Employees participate in an escape-room game where they must solve clues together within a time limit, practicing planning, delegation, and joint decision-making.

● Outdoor and physical activities: A company arranges a one-day trek with team games like tug-of-war and blindfold walks, which build trust, coordination, and informal bonding.

● Workshops and training sessions: An HR department runs a workshop on “assertive communication” where participants practice saying “no” politely and giving feedback constructively through role-plays.

● Team projects and simulations: MBA students run a business simulation where they jointly decide on pricing, production, and marketing strategies for a virtual company, experiencing real-like teamwork pressures.
